I tasted that smell of greasy old hamburger like on the exhaust side of Carl's Jr where they must not change the fryer grease ever.

It had cooled down, slightly, and I could see the small strands of skypainting in the air I might have missed , since I usually am too busy to look at the sky.

Skypainting again.

I think it is the same with food stamps, a while ago I stood behind a couple new to it, and they had to put almost everything back from the cheap store brand and get the expensive brands, only those could be bought with their stamps. It is a false aid program - why not give poor people aid that will cover every brand? Or better yet - why not pay them enough wage so they do not have to depend on these faulty programs? Lots of people around here make 8 bucks an hour (or less if you work for the local govt). How can one live on that?

I still think that Iran, while wanting to avoid confrontation with the US, holds most of the cards in its duel with Israel...Israel cannot afford loss its oil supplies, and the US cannot risk the closing of the Strait of Hormuz, especially before the election...I would add that conventional weapons are unlikely to achieve much against underground mountain nuclear labs....

I think there are risks in terms of thinking of nation-states as the decision-making entities with national-interests these days. That is certainly part of the calculus, but individuals like Netanyahu have specific interests which often diverge in specific ways, and there are invisible transnational interests with special schemes and specific needs, which we just don't know, though we can tell that global financiers need war-powers before the Ponzi scheme crashes...

I had mixed feelings about your FEMA reporting, Dr John. On the one hand, appalled sadness because it is such a shock to the conscience to think of great supplies short circuited by profiteers in deadly circumstances— on the other hand, glad that Elon’s guy was there because Elon’s going to hunt the greedy and corrupt like the hound of Heaven. I love that about him — his sense of Justice and retribution. Trump actually lacks much capacity for retributive Justice despite all the projections on him. He’s not an SoB and we need one. But, he’s gathered people around him that have real SoB potential. And, it’s needed because at some point the predators must be provided reasons to pause.

The battles in consciousness and in the world are happening This Month, ahead of the elections, which may be something like an announcement of how the battles are going (IMHO).

Yes, I am guardedly hopeful for Elon Musk. He is a "live player", but he has the capacity to go either way...
