Influential international bankers facing financial collapse is the biggest risk factor for world war three that I can think of. Wars do not happen because one group of people hates another group of people. That can be induced quickly enough. Mass hate helps the war machine work, but its decisions are made to gain and hold power over people and wealth. The dangerous situation is that the Bank of England has made a lot of leveraged loans, backed by collateral, which was in Ukraine, but is now physically in Russia, so those assets cannot actually be liquidated. They are lost assets, not yet reckoned on the financial ledgers, because the ledgers can't balance that way. The Bank of England also undersigned very large IMF loans to "Ukraine", which "Ukraine" will never service, except with more loans, which deal was also done last summer. The emergency financial powers which come with a major war always protect banking interests, especially national banking interests. It seem like the tail wagging the dog, but these are the people who decide policy.

I can't really hope that the Bank of England, and associates go bankrupt, because they can initiate war against Russia to save their financial interests, and let NATO protect them.

I am interested in Donald Trump's play to grab Greenland, because it has a similar scale of mineral assets to Ukraine, which can be acquired for banking by bribing 56,000 citizens who can vote in a referendum to become the New Alaska. These citizens are 88% Inuit, and see that Alaskan Inuit peoples are wealthier than Greenlanders.

Is some kind of banking deal possible which would back up the $US financial system, including the infamous BoE, based upon Greenland's considerable oil and mineral wealth, thereby eliminating the financial imperative for slaughtering millions or billions of people?

What Is It About The Arctic? Mark Wauk Northeast Passage (Russia) and Northwest Passage (Canada) trade routes are discussed with illustrative polar maps. If Greenland became a US territory, and Canada aligned completely with US interests, then there would mainly be Russia and the US dividing up Arctic spheres of wealth and influence. China would follow Russia's lead, and NATO members, Norway and Canada, would follow the US lead. Not bothering each other would facilitate extraction of resources, but war would kill the goose laying those golden eggs. There is enough to go around, and shipping routes can be managed with icebreakers.

What Is It About The Arctic?

Why does Trump want Greenland and could he get it? [Bribe enough people to win a vote, right?] A 2023 survey showed that 25 of 34 minerals deemed "critical raw materials" by the European Commission were found in Greenland. They include materials used in batteries such as graphite and lithium, and so-called rare earth elements used in electric vehicles and wind turbines.

Is a war between Turkey and Israel imminent?
The situation in Syria remains difficult and now both Turkish and Israeli media are reporting that their states should prepare for war. After the Islamists from HTS took power in Syria, the situation remains tense. Israel has occupied part of Syria near the Golan Heights and justifies this by saying it is creating a security zone. This occupation, which is contrary to international law, is criticized by non-Western countries, but as usual, Israel is not interested.
In northeastern Syria, the US has still stationed troops in the Kurdish areas of Syria, also in violation of international law. Turkey is threatening military action against the Kurds if they do not submit to the Turkish-backed HTS government and hand over their weapons. Even a military clash between Turkish troops and US troops in Syria cannot be ruled out.
Turkey wants Syria, whose new government it de facto controls, to come under full control of HTS.
