Abiogenic oil is not fossil fuel. Fossil fuel was an idea proposed in a book published in 1759 by German chemist Caspar Neumann. In 2009, the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm reported research that suggests crude oil and natural gas can be generated outside of the decomposition of flora and fauna fossils. That finding provides support for the idea that petroleum and natural gas can form through more than one method.

Splitting hairs, friend. I agree, but we must use language as it is understood. It's not proven, but I have researched abiotic-oil and find it to be more plausible. Coal is different.

Abiotic oil doesn't imply that it rises to the surface where we can snatch it, quickly, though...

Expand full comment

This is true. And it is also true that oil is not only a fossil fuel. And oil can then be found and extracted from sources otherwise ignored. And without oil our world order collapses quite quickly. However more to the point really is how professional lying becomes etched in the minds of up and coming professionals across so many fields and becomes a dominant paradigm unquestioned except by "heretics." We see this with Covid-19, but it is not unique to Covid-19. I like archeology and know that this field is rigid due to refusal to admit evidence. And archeologists are punished, quite like doctors, for disagreement with the paradigm. http://pleistocenecoalition.com/

Specialties become exclusive clubs with rules.

Humans may have been fairly advanced before the Younger Dryas, which may have been a mass die-off event of some kind, maybe something bad from space made an unscheduled ice-age for a couple of thousand years. There is a lot of really old stone age stuff still in existence which does not fit with standard theories, but the theories are not adjusted. Too much investment...

I concur. The many books of speculation recently and much earlier have been my hobby horse. Out of Place Artifacts break the paradigm of White European supremacy. Fascinating how hard it is to accept new knowledge and how cultural bias is (almost) impervious to change. And it is equally fascinating how money creates exclusive clubs that control. In my life I recall how long it required before Acupuncture was finally worthy of insurance payment.

Just wanted to point out how "models" are the favorite play toy of people with philosophical (or other) axes to grind. Asshole Dr. Neal Ferguson brought us the model that triggered "justification" for massive Covungabunga TYRANNY. These models of population, production, etc. are just that: Models. Models that purport to Predict The Future. Umm hmmm....

Malthus predicted people would starve but failed to predict advances in farming and sanitation that utterly broke his "model". Personally, I am not at all satisfied to accept such models because they have been discredited by history (e.g. "all the glaciers will be gone by 2020", "we have only 12 years to save the planet", and other such Bull Shit).

Models cannot predict advances might be discovered that would discredit them. After all, there's not much Money in the sale of unreliable models. Just saying.

Some models turn out to be more valid, and some less valid. Malthus had the right model, but the assumptions changed on him. He had no way to predict coal, industrial revolution, chemical fertilizers and diesel tractors, nor ocean steamships.

We all have internal models of reality. We are wired that way.

The model(s) used for The Limits To Growth don't use any economic theory at all.

They observed humans over 100 years of pretty good data and adjusted the models to re-create what happened when fed certain baseline inputs, like food and fuel supplies. That BAU, "business as usual" model projected remarkably well to 2020.

I have been following it since 1974, when I became aware of it.

That convinces me that the methodology is sound.

You don't have to be convinced for me, nut I'm just explaining the process I went through, and go through still.)

What we do with these models is our own decision, but I have inferred that some of the actions of our owners may be based upon the outputs of these models.

They act in their own interests, which appears to be that there be a lot fewer of us by the end of this decade.

I accept that there are some models that have a decent track record. It is worth watching those and trying to understand what makes them work. Worth pointing out that our Reality is the confluence of an unimaginably large number of independent variables, not just a few on a chart, though sometimes those can be effective.

That said, the supposition that Malthusian bozons want to kill off a lot of Humanity can be seen in a number of ways (including models), but they, themselves, have been telling us they want to do this! In speeches, in books, and by running the WHO/Plandemic/Jab/Propaganda scam since 2020. If you ignore the messaging and look at the outcome, it is Death, slow or otherwise, for a huge percentage of the unfortunates who bought their BS.

What would happen to all 'models' if atomic powered water desalination plants were built on the west African coastlines... and then are paired with 'Keystone-XL' type pipeline systems, bringing desalinated water to reservoirs and all the way to the margins of the Sahara Desert, where it would irrigate lands to grow food. What if 5 to 10% of the Sahara Desert was reclaimed in this fashion to grow food ? A new day would be upon us.

Hello John!

Let me start by saying how happy I was to read you latest building project report. You have accomplished so much this past year+. I felt I was really able to share in your joy:)

This post is truly inspired. So much ground covered. A lot of hard truths presented. And yet a lot of good and hope also. I have to say that you, John Greer, Ugo Bardi, Robert F Kennedy/Childrens Health Defense, Joe Malone, Peter Mccullough, Steve Kirsh, Meryl Nass, Tess Lawrie, and so many others, are truly lights of the world. I could never adequately express how grateful I am to have found and have all of you in my awareness and experience. No matter what happens, or what my experience of this period is going forward, I will always draw peace, inspiration, wisdom, agency, and joy from all of you.

Thank you, John, and as Red Skelton used to say, "may God bless":)

Nice summary of our predicament and pathways that may develop or not. Aligns with my basic view going forward. The depopulation issue is well under way I fear. It had to happen and was always going to be chaotic and bumpy. Most can't see it simply because they won't look or don't know to look. Nothing new there. From 1968:

https://psycnet.apa.org/record/1969-03938-001

Abstract

Male undergraduates found themselves in a smoke filled room either alone, with 2 nonreacting others, or in groups of 3. As predicted, Ss were less likely to report the smoke when in the presence of passive others (10%) or in groups of 3 (38% of groups) than when alone (75%). This result seemed to have been mediated by the way Ss interpreted the ambiguous situation; seeing other people remain passive led Ss to decide the smoke was not dangerous. John Ward of 'The Slog', reposted 'World-War 3' with this comment about John. Sorry, John. Den

"John Day is an American general practitioner who lost his job for refusing to buy into the eclectic monsoon of nonsense that surrounded the “management” of Covid19. I first came across him nearly ten years ago via Eleni Tsigantes and her Athenian knitting circle of fully awake folks. Quite how he keeps up the prolific pace of his output is beyond me; but his skill lies in writing accessibly about data in perspective and its real significance in the broadest possible context. He is, in short, a Renaissance Man….and this recent post from his substack is today offered at The Slog to exemplify the approach. Enjoy."

Dr. John... I do not refer to EROI or EROEI. Get real friend. Water & Co2 already in the atmosphere to create new syn-gas fuels. Cost ? maybe expensive to start... but a huge benefit over time. that's it. Petroleum is no longer a necessity.

Chinese-population-to-plummet-in-coming-decades is what I caught.

I think we are all going to plummet in coming decades, and that we are unloved by our owners and should face that and find ways to deal with it. This will be hard, and we will die, but with differing levels of frustration and satisfaction. I'm trying to live without regrets.

We'll see how that goes.

Right up my alley.

What is my Life's work?

Energy from water.

Possible Clean uncontrollable unlimited power for everyone without paying taxes.

I write about this a lot... here

here

here

And of course my patented technology here

https://fritzfreud.substack.com/p/the-invention-the-illuminati-does

In there you find multiple technologies with witch we can create absolute Zero Emissions from Energy Transportation and Logistics and more.

ABSOLUTE ZERO EMISSIONS!

Here is my story.

When I was about 15 I saw that water breaks down into its components Oxygen and Hydrogen at around 2000°C and burns back into water in an instant.

That has put me onto a path I will never waver from.

The problem are the Politicians the money people the WEF IMF EZB BOE Jews the Freemasons the Zionists. and the Satanists... the Technocratic Elite.

We have a population Brainwashed to defend the Rich against any accusation of wrongdoing

They are the Occult preoccupying all control positions everywhere and stopping Humanity using water as a fuel and as such eradicating all problems we currently face.

The Jewish Occult wages WW3 against WE THE PEOPLE.

All energy which becomes available for our use comes from the loss of energy in some process which decreases the energy level of one or more things. Entropy. We need to find things at relatively high potential energy levels and reduce those energy levels, extracting some of the energy loss for work we want done. Burning coal, oil and gas does that well So does burning wood. When we separate hydrogen and oxygen it takes more energy than we can get from putting them back together. All battery-storage loses energy in the round trip from storage to use. Better systems lose less. Flywheels are expensive, but pretty efficient, within their limits.

There is no free-lunch, and I don't think "we" could be trusted with it, if there was.

I'll point out nuclear-energy as an example. Bombs were the first "practical" demonstration.

I don't think we can be trusted with "zero-point-energy" for instance.

Let me tell you a story.

While I was in HK a friend of mine ... mentor if you will... took me to a great exhibition.

There we found another Inventor exhibiting a generator that created electricity at such a level that it could be used under water without short-cutting.

Imagine that... electricity that doesn't short cut.

Also this is prof Dan Nocera who already has a technology for personalized electricity.

https://fritzfreud.substack.com/p/prof-daniel-nocera-and-his-artificial

Dan Nocera: Personalized energyMIT Professor Dan Nocera believes he can solve the world’s energy problems with an Olympic-sized pool of water. Nocera and his research team have identified a simple technique for powering the Earth inexpensively--by using the sun to split water and store energy--and thus making the large-scale deployment of personalized solar energy possible

This post is hard to follow. There is so much winding verbiage that it's difficult to get the point or points. About oil and gas. Lookup 'E-Diesel' or 'Blue Crude' by the Audi corp., created in 2015. Apparently, they created a diesel fuel substitute out of water and Co2 already in the atmosphere. And Sunfire.de created syn-gas. So petroleum is no longer necessary. These fuels power the cars of the Audi executives since 2015. they work. So no technology would have to change. only the fuel would change. Everything else would be okay as is. And the waste product of 'E-Diesel' & 'Syn-Gas' is water vapor & returning the borrowed C02 back into the atmosphere. And now ask yourself... why haven't you heard of these ground breaking 0-carbon fuel alternatives ?

Expand full comment
author

There is no perpetual-motion machine. Those fuels you list need energy to create them, and the creation of the fuel loses energy. The reason our industrial society has been able to grow and develop is that there has been plentiful energy that was cheap.

Reduce the supply and/or increase the cost and much that we take for granted has to stop existing, because it becomes economically unfeasible.

Watch this keep happening. It is underway. Europe is doing it right now.

Surprise !!!!! ALL fuels need energy to produce them. Do a little research on 'E-Diesel' and Syn-gas before commenting please. How expensive could a synthetic fuel that's direct replacement for diesel fuel, made only from water and atmospheric Co2 be ? I purposefully did not include certain links. I'm not spoon-feeding this. Do the research. And do it on a browser that's not Google. Why ? Google's censored. Try DuckDuckGo.

You refer to EROI or EROEI, energy return on energy invested.

The early oil wells like Spindletop had an EROI of 100:. Some in Russia, Iraq and Iran may be around 30:1. Venezeulan heavy tar and Canadian tar sands are around 3:1, which is to energy intensive to really run an economy, but can contribute specific feedstuffs to a working economy.

When average EROI drops below about 13:1, modern industrial economy starts coming appart at the seams. Tim Morgan's "Surplus Energy Economics" is a good site to explain economy in those surplus energy terms. https://surplusenergyeconomics.wordpress.com/
