"EU industry bosses want Russian gas supplies restored – Reuters

Germany’s chemical industry is in a “severe crisis” and in dire need of a return to cheap Russian gas, Reuters reported on Monday, citing executives in the sector."

Really? The EU .gov is the one that has to ask for the gas. Russia is sanctioned remember so only the government can seek renewed gas deliveries from Russia. Getting the hired hands to go hat in hand because narcissists won't eat crow.

"It appears that the Russians shot down a Ukrainian F-16 at great distance. Did Russia’s 40N6 400km Range Air Defence Missile Just Shoot Down Ukraine’s F-16 Fighter?"

That would be too funny really, except of course for the crew on board. I'm not sure which is better: Russia made a hell of a shot or the incompetence of Ukraine.

"Is Blackrock an entity prioritizing metrics over people?

What are the implications of AI’s role in seeking data-driven returns?"

That is how the market works, always did and likely always will. Just cheaper to use A.I. than actual bean counters.

See above answer which I looked up.

This is the problem with the use of jargon.

Yes, it's always best to avoid it unless absolutely sure it won't create ambiguity or wrong interpretation.

That is excerpted from the Sundance article, the link to which is at the bottom of the excerpt.

I excerpt and provide links below and header above the excerpt.

He uses the acronym early and late in the essay, but does not define it.

I Googled "SSCI acronym, intelligence related"

and got:

"SSCI is an acronym for the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence, a committee within the United States Senate."

Iran and now N. Korea are shaping for a punishment. This is the paradox . Do we have a plan or is this made up on the hoof?

Talk and posturing are cheap... If they don't work, real difficulty arises.

North Korea and Iran may prevail through patience, effort, networking with Russia & China, and the very real threats which they hold against an attacker.

N. Korea and Iran have achieved the capability to cause more than 50k US military deaths at the first sign of US attack. The result of that would be clear at midterm elections or earlier (impeachment for starting war w/o congressional approvement etc.).

John,

Thanks for the update. I have resorted to watching standup comedians to keep “up to date with the world”…

Nothing has changed in a few centuries: the empires bullying other empires but millions of innocent people die due to that… the families of the dead have no explanation as to why it happed and why God allowed it… none…

Will this ever change? If it doesn’t we are wasting our time here…right?

Trump is ok when he gives peace a chance...,.Of course, an attack on Iran would be ruinous for America and the West, and might trigger a world war, so that's not a real option....
