Putin has been scoring a lot of diplomatic points with his go-slow approach, and has really prevented the NATO countries from accelerating their military production...He has also greatly reduced Russian casualties....But I have the same sense that Doctorow has that Putin needs to close the deal..the EU and NATO care nothing about Ukrainian casualties and will eventually attack Russia, triggering WW3...The situation is becoming very dangerous.....

I think Putin wants complete-closure of the deal, actual defeat of the adversary, which I think is the current iteration of global finance for wars and resource/asset-stripping.

Nearly all of "The 20 Points" of Trump's Total Surrender Ultimatum to

Hamas are about concessions Hamas must make if Trump isnt to give

The Only Democracy In The ME the "OK !" to "finish The Job (aka -

genocide)"... Nearly all of "The 20 Points" thus provides, should Hamas

not abide, with the excuse he needs to tell Netanyahu the go-ahead,

"finish The Job", resume the mass slaughter of Gazans...

There's been noticeable attention given lately to Hamas' 'tunnel system'.

This may well be an indication that Netanyahu intends "destroying The

Tunnels, to flush out Hamas," as the cover story for the resumption of

the mass slaughter of Gazans... No doubt the event of such slaughter

will be blamed on the Gazans "because they didnt heed the warning,

quick enough, to vacate the targeted area; "destroying The Tunnels"

will also be cover story for further destruction of buildings...

Yes, this looks like a time-out, maybe to nuke Iran. Who knows? It is not over yet.

Scott Ritter said Gilbert Doctorow is very wrong (I'm using much more polite words here than Ritter used).

We can keep observing and see things play out in real time.

Doctorow is a guy who will reconsider his positions, based on new data.

The bloodshed will continue on both sides, until Hamas acknowledges the right of Israel to exist.

I have read the Hamas charters.

So do you agree with Netanyahu's longstanding position to support and fund Hamas to prevent a 2-state-solution?

Seems strange, dont you think, how some havent noticed that

Hamas support for a Two-State Solution acknowledges Israel's

Right To Exist ?

When exactly did that supposedly happen, and why? And by how much?

Did it happen before the first Hamas Charter was published?

Netanyahu has supported Hamas, and advised other Likudniks to do so.

Times of Israel has the story, but many others have more sordid details: https://www.timesofisrael.com/for-years-netanyahu-propped-up-hamas-now-its-blown-up-in-our-faces/

Maybe made sense at the time?

Giving work permits presumably to try to bring some sort of normality to the lives of Gazans.

Hindsight is wonderful of course.

Netanyahu intended to block the 2 state solution, and supporting Hamas against the Palestinian Authority was effective in that. His semi-public statements to allied political groups made that clear.
