Thank you for what you are doing! You told about the your worldview the other day, that your observations arise from. I am pretty much on the same page. But just today as I was looking at the rich froth of lies that media keeps cooking, I remembered: this is just like the year forecasts of sales&marketing when I was working for a software company a long long time ago. Their forecasts always promised vast gains in sales the coming year. It never happened, and everyone knew it would not happen: Our entire culture is inflated that way. The sales&marketing are pumpíng up narratives like crazy, mostly it all comes to nothing, but some little bit of it is accurate, and that gets played out to no end, as evidence that all is going according to a plan. In that kind of culture, investing anything, even attention, in the narrative field, seems like waste. Or worse. Maybe disconnecting is the best option.
