​Defense One says Raytheon plans to deliver two new prototypes this year and another in 2026 to address current limitations of high-powered microwave weapons used in the US military. The report notes in particular that the CHIMERA may be effective against Iran’s Shahed-136 drones.

Reading the article I see nothing of note and a fair amount of doubt. Close like cold fusion? "may be effective" all I hear is give me more money. Meanwhile back at the ranch.......

Yes, I saw this as a contrast to the big-laser-bores-7-miles-of-molten-rock-tunnel-per-day-in-1990s story.

Dr. John, love your compilations/posts.

It was 34°F here in southern Ontario, and dead sunny.

I sat outside for 2 hours trying to get some natural D.

Too bright, with the snow cover, to read anything, but energized me for another day.

I never let a sunny February day go to waste.

It got up over 60F and the wind was still so I lay out for about 40 minutes around noon, too. It's a really good cheap-luxury.

I'm glad you get something out of these stacks of stories. I have some vision of the flow of historic change in our world and this seems to be a way to share it as it happens.
