It seems to me, and I hope this is the case, that the EU is now in the spiteful strident throes of understanding it has marginalized its own damn self. Perhaps getting a glimmer of the probable fact the the US is not going to let the EU and Zelensky Article 5 the US into war with Russia. Perhaps a hint of understanding that Putin was never going to be a pushover, that they are not going to be able to carve up Russia into five areas governed by EU-selected henchmen. At least I hope so. My immediate takeaway from this excellent compilation - who cares what Macron says. Now, back to reading!
Ha! I admit I had skimmed, and when I went back to click on all the links, saw I had missed this. I had also been watching youtube, likely Emil Cosman or something like that, and saw the story. I was going to delete it, but figured I should take the shot for skimming. Yes, convincing enough!
More likely it was the Hidden Hand that droned Chernobyl. John used to be open to that possibility but now he has been swept away by his naive political excitement that Elon Musk's machine can alchemically transform the Derivatives Bomb into a benefit to all of humanity. LOL. It's a shame to watch. Hopefully he snaps out of it soon.
It is certainly possible that another power flew an explosive drone to hit Chernobyl, as Georgian snipers were brought to Maidan to shoot police and protesters both.
Not taking the bait is important.
The "hidden hand" can also lose, since its requirements are so specific, and must be provided by others who are controlled or fooled.
You are redefining the Hidden Hand to be a peer of those you've recently taken to calling the national Elites. That's a strawman argument. As I've said a million times, supranationalism holds dominion over nationalism, by definition. Just look at the word.
Patriots don't just get to waltz in and take their countries back, John, just because 'the kid that couldn't shoot straight' vaulted donny drumpf into office.
I just used "a hidden hand", myself. I am naturally a bit unclear on how groups of elites manage their, and our, business. I keep reading opinions about it, but don't have a firmly fixed view, rather a lot of impressions.
Article V does not obligate a member to go to war...In any event, the EU is geopolitically irrelevant by its own hand, so what Macron or anyone else says is of no interest...
I don't think there will be a settlement of the war, because Trump can't politically agree to the terms Putin requires..the current proposal is ludicrous
A lot of folks that we thought were on our are making shrill criticisms of Musk and his team...Apparently, massive fraud and corruption doesn't bother them that much...
No doubt Trump is taken aback because his steamroller approach has stalled. And wanting Russia to re-join the G8 and disband BRICS - um, nope. As long as the US bullies the rest of the world with sanctions and asset freezes and seizures, the rest of the world needs BRICS and an alternative to the easily weaponized dollar. IMO, of course. I have not seen this brought up.
Nice broccoli. I like broccoli... and artichokes with lemon and butter. :-) We're having broccoli tonight with some salmon.
Vance made a heck of a speech. I liked it. I'm still skeptical about a serious peace being forged during the next 6 months. We'll see. This war is existential for Russia and she has the upper hand. Will ukraine collapse before a peace can be worked out? The Vance speech is at least a step toward acknowledging certain realities. Hammering out practicalities are always difficult.
Think of it as a better alliance arrangement that global finance doesn't like, because they need a war between Russia and the US, not an alliance against them.
Or, there's the much more simple, straightforward, obvious reality: global finance new about the limits to growth before we ever did, and is now rationally restructuring back to nationalisms so that the nuclear power plants don't blow up in their faces. Duh, John.
* One Russian diplomat told Lev Alburt that, “In our government, there is only one man who still believes that Russo-American partnership is possible, and worth aiming for. Because that man is Vladimir Putin the rest of us follow.”* — an honoring phrasing of Vlad’s belief and its power to cut a path for both nations within the entanglement. Glad to see it, Dr John. Some time ago I listened to a YouTube on Vlad’s discussion of The Logos and the chaos he perceived in US foreign policy in the Middle East. I will try to find it again because I want to hear it again. It was long and deeply grounded in Philosophy and Faith. The author(s) had interpreted Vlad solidly in the framework of Christian metaphysics and illuminated his motivation in the light of his recognition and adherence to The Logos. (I don’t read anything Gnostic in this at all either, but feel the vibe of Orthodox submission to the Ineffable). So in this essay, there is much about banks of course and the usual strongholds of sin, but I think it is well to remember these great powers as they think themselves to be are like Ring Wraiths who are wholly animated by the central spirit opposing Love and Logos and Creator King. I think probably Vlad is not alone among Russian Souls — but he is the Leader in History as The Donald is here and now. They maybe able to forge a bridge between the nations because they answer to the same Spirit— how lovely that would be. I took note in this or another recent essay, there was an attack on Chernobyl covering. The other name is Wormwood and we are in the vicinity of prophecy dragging this old name back. Clearly Vlad had nothing to do with that given the life blood and last breath of so many hundreds of thousands of Russian men who died immediately and after from cancers to build it. USA Today reported 20 plus years ago that the radioactivity of Chernobyl was still detectable in the wind currents in the UK. The cover is vulnerable. I think when we see this kind of a gesture we are looking at menace from hell directed through a silly man or men. We can perhaps raise our eyes above the phenom of flickering players and the nihilistic whispering of despair…. We can look into Spirit and listen to our hearts. Our focus and will to love and good is a force and offering to The Logos.
Yes, there's a separate, felt peace but we could call that any number of other names, such as satisfaction or connectedness or rested. So there's no place for idolizing the metaphysical use of the word.
There is no absence of war in civilization because it is a permanent, policed imperialism that lays claim to a monopoly of violence and, in the laying, must constantly initiate violence. Yet you believe and root for civilization.
This human economy is an apex-predator-managed ecosystem.
Spiritually, we could be much more harmonious stewards of the planet, but it would need to be spiritual, not mechanical, and the spiritual principle which applies is that we are all characters in a dream in the mind of the dreamer, if I may put it that way. We are all arising within the dreamer, not separate billiard balls, as it were.
From the point of view of self-as-billiard-ball, the apex-predator and monopolization-of-violence makes sense, but the human who excels within this system suffers inexplicably...
I have to keep reminding myself, and it is most often a conceptual reminder, rather than an epiphany that "I" am also Dick Cheney, Gandhi, Bibi Netanyahu, and so on...

Public Policy has a lot of overlap with Plato's "Noble Lie", the control-narrative.
Do watch 18 minutes of JD Vance in Munich.
"There's a new sheriff in town" he said with steely eyes.
He went into the room like that one Texas Ranger with a Gatling gun, sent to disperse a crowd of striking workers... He was unflinchingly, word-perfectly, aiming and shooting them in the face as he looked them all in the eyes.
It is a bit disturbing. My words are not your own viewing of it.
I believe in Abiotic oil. The planet is dynamic. I think you are entertaining an error in regards to the 2025 model of Digital if you reduce it to the pre-digital past. Derrick Broze wrote up Stargate and the Internet of Bio Nano Things. Digital is now and like many things it is convenient for the many. The control grid is not discussed. RFK Jr. is just another elite grifter in the Trump Revival Tent. How could he be independent of his boss? A different big guy in this mobbed up Administration.
Trump and Kennedy negotiated an alliance. They have known each other a long time.
Abiotic oil seems likely, but the timeline to get to the surface is long/slow/variable, so it has to be chased deeper and more expensively, which imposes limits, as we see.
Elites want a control grid in place and no freedom for the controlled. That might be as impossible as a renewable-energy-world, of similar size to the present economy.
Yes it does, and with which you don't agree, so why not just say that abiotic theory is irrelevant to collapse? Why not just say that commercial oil fields all follow relatively predictable production curves?
I have said that repeatedly. The time scale of abiotic oil production, if it is as theory, is on a long, slow timeline compared to our current rate of exploitation of oil, so functionally it doesn't matter much, except that it IS possible to go deeper and deeper, in places where fossil oil would not have been trapped.
That gets more expensive in the energy cost of energy.
It can also only be done within this peak industrial technology moment, not in the past, and looking unlikely in some arbitrary future, like a century from now.
Dr. John I agree with you about Abiotic oil. A wonderful conversation about energy, industrialism, and humanity can be had. I would start from Ellul's concept of "technique" which is not the same as technology. Technique refers to the larger, impersonal methods and "systems" that govern our family, social, and political lives, often prioritizing efficiency and rationality over other factors. For me this has explicatory power since we are children of a past created by adapting technology to replace God. Blanqui had it "No God, No Master" and he did not grasp not all men were adults. Well, recently we saw this with Biden. In freedom begins responsibility. Instead our Philadelphia Freedom as Alexis de Tocqueville observed is used chasing money. Gary North has a very interesting discussion of Federalism in Philadelphia. https://garynorth.com/conspiracyinphiladelphia.pdf. Way back 50 years ago I read Charles Beard's "Economic Thesis of the Constitution."
I freely choose to seek Divine Guidance. Not everybody seems equally able to do this, and the inclination has to be there.
There are a lot of layers to us. I'm not sure I understand it clearly, but I try to live as naturally as I practically can, and do things outdoors when weather is tolerable.
I believe that the planet is dynamic, too, Stegs, but that's not an argument in favor of abiotic petroleum powering industrial civilization. Is it? You cannot make a plausible scientific argument how it is that abiotic petroleum powers industrial civilization. All you can do is come up with some papers talking about short chain hydrocarbons which are not petroleum. Petroleum are long chain hydrocarbons. Additionally, I have already scientifically explained to you how both short and medium chain biological hydrocarbons are formed which I assume that you accept because you do fart and believe in the existence of biological peat fields. Yet you remain willfully ignorant of the biological peat dynamic operating under much greater mass and pressure and heat thereby creating longer hydrocarbon chains than peat (6 carbon atoms) even though peat itself is the biological methanogenic (4 carbon atoms) process under greater mass and pressure which we can know because peat formations release methane... you're better than this, Stegs.
Since you said the ship is sinking, which is a structural problem, I assumed that you had come around to peak oil because peak oil collapse is a structural problem, like a sinking ship. Seems to me you should choose a different metaphor. Something like, the ship is still being scuttled, which is a non-structural collapse analogy.
I partially want to retract my statement from my previous comment that your characterization of safe and effective was off. Your characterization is dead-on so far in that neither Trump nor RFK have immediately tried to stop the COVID vaxxes. I was, however, assuming you meant all vaxxes since you didn't specify which vaxxes.
I left a comment but to come to it here I do not say abiotic oil can power industrial civilization. I merely assert it is real and fossil fuel is not. Another scientism myth. I am not sure industrialism as organized by Capitalism is a good idea either. Of late, last 6 years or so, I have reflected on how we post moderns live and what we live for. I find Ellul very helpful with his ideas of Technique. And McKenna for his originality of thought with psychedelics and existence.
“Every culture that’s ever existed has operated under the illusion that it understood 95% of reality and that the other 5% would be delivered in the next 18 months, and from Egypt forward they’ve been running around believing they had a perfect grip on things and yet we look back at every society that preceded us with great smugness at how naive they all were. Well, it never occurs to us, then, that maybe we’re whistling in the dark too! That the universe is stranger than you CAN suppose, and that that openness that that perception imparts is a great joy, a great blessing, because then you can live your life not in service to some fascistic metaphor but in service to the living mystery: the fact that you’re not going to understand it; it is not going to yield to logic; or magic; or any other technique that’s been developed…”.
The Greek mind world was not favorable to freedom. “Of equal importance to freedom for Berdyaev is the human personality. Human subjectivity is the path to freedom. We are made in the image of God and are Divine creations participating in Creation, love and freedom. But this all depends on the existence of God.
This road of liberty can only end either in the deification of man or in the discovery of God; in the one case, he is lost and done for; in the other, he finds salvation and the definitive confirmation of himself as God’s earthly image. For man does not exist unless there be a God and unless he be the image and likeness of God; if there be no God, then man deifies himself, ceases to be man, and his own image.
Without God, man oscillates between dreams of his own godhood, and self-disgust as a machine or animal. Man in fact exists in the metaxy – the in-between; neither God nor animal.”
There are different types of personality and mental process in our species, in a mix, which seems to be important for the furtherance of the species. Not all minds CAN meet. Here we are trying, like characters within a dream quarreling, perhaps...
I like Ellul, too, and what he has to say about illusion, but that is another conversation. As is McKenna who, from a cursory familiarity, I myself don't think much of at all.
The conversation we are having right now is a material one.
You say abiotic petroleum doesn't power this civilization, yet you also say that fossil/biotic/biological petroleum doesn't exist. What, then, is powering this civilization, Stegs, and why am I having to ask your highly intelligent self this question?
Well the observation can be made that the recoverable abiotic oil is presently costly. “All kinds of rocks could have oil and gas deposits." Alexander Kitchka of the Ukrainian National Academy of Sciences estimates that 60 percent of the content of all oil is abiotic in origin and not from fossil fuels.” Peak oil is the discussion of EROI not running out of oil.
What Is Energy Return on Investment (EROI)?
Energy Return on Investment (EROI) is a ratio for describing a measure of energy produced in relation to the energy used to create it. For instance the ratio would illustrate how much energy is used to locate, extract, deliver, and refine crude oil relative to how much useable energy is created.
As to origins of oil this evidently as stated below is a battle of paradigms
Earlier in the conversation you said that you do not say that abiotic oil can power civilization but that biotic oil also does not exist, and now you're presenting someone's view that 60pc of oil production is abiotic.
Sorry didn't have Internet access yesterday. I learned some things from that link thanks but as I said in another comment, fossil is just a misnomer. I would appreciate it if you just said what it is that you believe is the case regarding petroleum. If you feel like you don't know based on what information you currently hold then I don't have a problem with that. I just have a problem with common folk promulgating the Elites' disinfo for them because that is exactly how their control system is optimized. That's why I'm riding John so hard right now. Theirs is a war of attrition, always has been, and the twists and turns in the political theater are but new military campaigns against the timelessness of Native Truth such that more real people may get peeled-off from the truth, until there are none left. If we are going to walk the talk then our aim must always be to be last man standing if that's what it comes to. Doesn't matter if we have kids, grandkids, no kids, conservative families or liberal families, whether we're old or young, whether we live in the city or the countryside. If they own our minds by twisting us and turning us then we might as well just kill ourselves because we're dead already. If other people want to walk around as the living dead then that's their business but I'll be damned if it happens to me. They fooled me once as a kid -- they get that gimmie on pretty much everyone, and they earned that gimmie from building out civilization -- but I broke out of that because I'm an Ellul-ian wildtype if ever there was one and they ain't getting me again.
Understand that THEY do actually tell the truth when it benefits them and the origins of oil is one of those situations because it is an integral part of the largely reliable, reality -based scientific establishment the express purpose of which is to maximize the profits that can be extracted from reality. The only way to maximize reality extraction is to let reality lead you, right? That's axiomatic. The lies are mainly cultural, and they facilitate the extraction mindset which is non-native.
Stegs, digital currency, digital banking, and digital central banking have existed since computers have existed. RFK JR does not believe in lockdowns nor safe and effective and he is now the HHS so your characterization is off on that but of course you're correct about Trump. You're also correct that this is a sinking ship; i take it,then, that you've come around to peak oil, with oil being biotic. Rurik Skywalker is a total fool, just like Frances Whatsherface. Rurik believes in Flat Earth Theory and Abiotic oil theory, so any conclusion he makes about anything might be correct or might be incorrect, but either way it has nothing to do with actual analysis because his belief in the above two theories means that he isn't in the habit of thinking but reacting, and herding.
So in the first place I don't recall saying abiotic oil can power industrialism. I would though say industrial civilization is a bad idea as we have it organized today. I think medicine as well, documented by Eustace Mullins in Murder by Injection.
The present work, the result of some forty years of investigative research, is a logical progression from my previous books: the expose of the international control of monetary issue and banking practices in the United States; a later work revealing the secret network of organizations through which these alien forces wield political power-the secret committees, foundations, and political parties through which their hidden plans are implemented; and now; to the most vital issue of all, the manner in which these depredations affect the daily lives and health of American citizens. Despite the great power of the hidden rulers, I found that only one group has the power to issue life or death sentences to any American-our nation's physicians. I discovered that these physicians, despite their great power, were themselves subjected to very strict controls over every aspect of their professional lives. These controls, surprisingly enough, were not wielded by any state or federal agency, although almost every other aspect of American life is now under the absolute control of the bureaucracy.
The physicians have their own autocracy, a private trade association, the American Medical Association. This group, which is headquartered in Chicago, Illinois, had gradually built up its power until it assumed total control over medical schools and the accreditation of physicians. The trail of these manipulators led me straight to the same lairs of the international conspirators whom I had exposed in previous books. I knew that they had already looted America, reduced its military power to a dangerously low level, and imposed bureaucratic controls on every American. I now discovered that their conspiracies also directly affected the health of every American. This conspiracy has resulted in a documented decline in the health of our citizens. We now rank far down the list of civilized nations in infant mortality and other significant medical statistics. I was able to document the shocking record of these cold-blooded tycoons who not only plan and carry out famines, economic depressions, revolutions and wars, but who also find their greatest profits in their manipulations of our medical care. The cynicism and malice of these conspirators is something beyond the imagination of most Americans.
They deliberately mulct our people of millions of dollars each year through ''charitable'' organizations and then use these same organizations as key groups to bolster their Medical Monopoly. Fear and intimidation are the basic techniques by which the conspirators maintain their control over all aspects of our health care, as they ruthlessly crush any competitor who challenges their profits. As in other aspects of their ''behavioural control'' over the American people, their most constantly used weapon against us is their employment of federal agents and federal agencies to carry out their intrigues. The proof of this operation may be the most disturbing revelation of my work.
Sometimes tycoons quarrel and side with the populace against the money lenders. Those times are generally interesting bits of history, like with FDR and Julius Caesar...
No, you're strawmanning again. Strawmanning Mullins this time. What is there for the Central banking cartel and it's proxy institutions to quarrel with itself about? You tell me, John. You have to have a hypothesis first in order to have a theory.
It seems to me, and I hope this is the case, that the EU is now in the spiteful strident throes of understanding it has marginalized its own damn self. War is easy. Peace is hard.
Peace is impossible. So what is the solution?
No. It's not impossible. It needs time. Peace needs caution and time.
Almost nothing is impossible… but REAL worldwide peace is not possible… not on the current stage…
You can’t bribe anyone to peace..
In other words, there is no money to be made in peace resolutions..

Peace is, like happiness, a marketing concept. A myth.
What is the solution to what? Peace not existing? That's a nonsensical question.
There is "the peace which surpasses all understanding", but we generally just mean the absence of war.

Absolutely. Divine Guidance is honoring our freedom to be responsible as a male “son.” Our hour in Wordsworth has this sentiment-
https://www.poetryfoundation.org/poems/45564/the-world-is-too-much-with-us
The world is too much with us; late and soon,
Getting and spending, we lay waste our powers;—
Little we see in Nature that is ours;
We have given our hearts away, a sordid boon!
This Sea that bares her bosom to the moon;
The winds that will be howling at all hours,
And are up-gathered now like sleeping flowers;
For this, for everything, we are out of tune;
It moves us not. Great God! I’d rather be
A Pagan suckled in a creed outworn;
So might I, standing on this pleasant lea,
Have glimpses that would make me less forlorn;
That gets to "control narrative", Plato's "noble lie" to organize a society.
Why then are you now cheerleading the latest rinsing and repeating of the noble lie instead of remaining true?
Fear.
Please clarify what you mean. Am I recycling a noble lie? I don't intend to.
As to origins of oil this evidently as stated below is a battle of paradigms
https://www.dmr.nd.gov/ndgs/documents/newsletter/NL04S/PDF/origin.pdf
Earlier in the conversation you said that you do not say that abiotic oil can power civilization but that biotic oil also does not exist, and now you're presenting someone's view that 60pc of oil production is abiotic.
Which is it? And what represents the other 40pc?
Why are you dancing around the conversation?

Not abiotic, not fossil.
Thx will have a gander tomorrow
Thanks Stegial. There are yet more layers of control and extraction in our house-of-cards-life-support-system.
;-(
Note that Mullins has the "cold-blooded tycoons" sitting above and controlling everybody including the useful idiot Trumps and Musks.
I’m sorry to tell you this, but peace, in the right sense of the word, is not achievable…
So, if this is the case, what is the solution?
