Trump needs to understand that Russia has no incentive to negotiate, since the war will be over within a year, probably much less, and Putin can't accept anything less than total control of the Donbas, all Black Sea ports including Odessa, the complete disarmament of the Ukraine, the removal of the present government, and the extermination of the neo-nazis...NATO is not agreement capable/
I think Trump knows the score from Orban, and is making the gesture of ending financial sanctions, which is also better for the $US financial regime. This is just the opening, and Russia has been asked what they want. This is a respectful opening to real negotiation.
Russia and the US should be natural allies in global economy, because their positions of natural resources and ability to be autarchic (self-sufficient) are the most similar of any two countries.
We'll see. Musk is good at cutting deadwood. Anybody can outsource. He's talking about cutting the federal budget.
This is synergistic with enforcing new modes of process and action on a bureaucracy, since people pay close attention when staff is getting cut by 25%, and it could be them.
Devolving tasks to the states is usually more efficient, since States have it all in their laps anyway, and it cuts a layer or more of bureaucracy.
Musk is going to have a whole lot more opposition to cutting anything from the federal budget than just a board of directors who benefits from cutting expenses.
I just hope that they don't start up with a useless wall again that just diverts illegals to take a different route. You know what's so much better than a wall? Stop handing out free shit as incentive to illegally enter the country. More effective, saves a ton of money.
What you're describing Dr John, is an organised mafia demanding the whole world pay 10% tribute to the USA in terms of tariffs. 10% more than whatever tariffs any country puts on the USA.
I think the result of that will be ever increasing boycotts overseas of US products. No tariffs maybe, but people simply will not buy US products.
Why can't you Americans EVER play by the rules?
What is so useless about you all that you have to have 10% cost advantages for doing nothing other than murdering millions the world over for 80 years and ,more?
Americans are not "we". You are complaining about the ridiculous permanent government which we can do nothing about that decides everything for the interests of big corporations, big banks and trillionaires. Americans don't want 99% of the shit they do for "us", including war. But no one is going to stop it because it can't be done.
Globalists vs nationalists are in power-competition, but the nationalists have an efficiency-advantage from fewer layers of bureaucracy, and are offering us proles a better social contract at the moment, if we will fully participate.
It is the way of empires to murder those who will not pay tribute, no?
The British Empire financialized and metastasized, and is continuous with the current $US empire, which is less wasteful than the original format, and may be gradually replaced with some even-less-wasteful BRICS cooperative format as years go by.
One might hope and try to help.
The UK is particularly hollowed-out and bled-dry by "The City" of late.

i pretty much kept my mouth shut about trump before the election because i didn't want cackles and the coach in the oval office, but now trump is in i'm letting it rip
He's always been really full of himself and I never liked him at all, but he's doing what he's doing, and taking a lot of hits and one very near miss on his life from the machine, so he does have my respect for all that. He has clearly grown-up a lot in the last decade and even 4 months.
(Yeah, Xi flattered him and made him important when he visited China. Xi's no fool.)
I am actually thinking of joining the Republicans , if there are any, in SF killafornia, like Harold hoogasian

Glad to hear it, but I think a realistic plan will meet strong opposition from State and Intel bureaucrats....
They might consider their ongoing employment as Musk-cuts-positions...
;-}
Musk's plan to reduce the size of the federal bureaucracy (smaller
government) is to outsource functions, by privatising, and, as he's
stated, returning various functions to the states; and, as the states
will have to raise the monies to run those functions, Musk will have
reduced federal government spending... Smoke and Mirrors ? It's
about appearances, creating perceptions...
Same as Trump's promise to 'end the wars', he meant ending any
evident direct US involvement - not wars by proxies...

An informing and comprehensive read. I'll be sharing with friends! And look at that precious baby! <3

Stop screwing up their countries by supporting criminal cartels...

It's really not very edifying.

Trump's dominant constant is his Narcissism...
If The Deep State want to influence, control Trump, It needs to stop the criticism
and ridicule, and lay on the flattery. Trump cant get enough flattery...
(Israel is a dab hand at exploiting Trump's narcissistic need !)
(Example: Without a shred of evidence the Syrian government was responsible
for using poisonous gas at Duoma, Trump bombed Syria, an action which got Trump
praised as 'acting like a real president, for once." Trumped literally glowed from being
so flattered... Trump thrives on flattery.)...
A Trump Personality Cult, promoted by the corporate propaganda media (aka - msm),
"won against the odds", "historic win" etc, is already underway...
