Let's get back to the basics, addressing a more mundane and pedestrian but highly practical issue:
Israel being completely surrendered by enemies, it is rather ludicrous that the government of Israel would have such strict gun laws that would prevent most civilians from owning a firearm. Having to prove that you “need” a firearm to obtain a permit is dangerously absurd…how about “we are surrounded by enemies who from day one have sworn that they would drive us back to the sea on a trail of blood...hello?...Anyone home?”

It's entirely disingenuous of Netanyahu and the Israeli's to tell the Palestinian civilians to "get out of Gaza" when they are locked into the Gazan prison with nowhere to go. They're just giving themselves a fig-leaf to say "we warned them to get out of the way, if they stayed, they must have been terrorists" (shades to Vietnam there - if I shoot at them and they run, they're VC). I believe the Israeli's have said they're going to seize all Palestinian land now.
The Israelis are giving no warning when the attack with F-15s and F-35s to deop apartment buildings, They have reportedly dropped 500 buildings. They intend to eliminate all buildings in Gaza, it seems. People are in some building, they cannot "go somewhere else", as we all can see. This is genocide, not "slow genocide".

Let's get back to the basics, addressing a more mundane and pedestrian but highly practical issue:
Israel being completely surrendered by enemies, it is rather ludicrous that the government of Israel would have such strict gun laws that would prevent most civilians from owning a firearm. Having to prove that you “need” a firearm to obtain a permit is dangerously absurd…how about “we are surrounded by enemies who from day one have sworn that they would drive us back to the sea on a trail of blood...hello?...Anyone home?”

Benjamin Netanyahu "is finished," as his decision to allow a group of Orthodox settlers to celebrate Sukkot in the West Bank last week was ill-timed, given the growing tensions between Jews and Palestinians in the region, an Israeli source told Seymour Hersh.
On October 6 a group of Jewish settlers were reported to have clashed with local Palestinians in Huwara, a village in the northern part of the West Bank, which resulted in the death of a 19-year-old Arab man.
Israeli settlers in the West Bank required "extraordinary protection" over the upsurge in violence. So, Netanyahu gave a nod to local Israeli military authorities to order two of the three Army battalions that controlled the border with Gaza to shift their focus to the Sukkot festival. Given that each battalion comprised about 800 soldiers, 1,600 were sent to shield the Orthodox Jews.
Thus, unsurprisingly, the diminished IDF contingent was overrun by Hamas militants on October 7, while Israeli civilians were left unprotected.
Hersh's sources called the Saturday attack "the great military failure in Israeli history." ... (completely coincidental) ...
