Hi John, All looks good in the garden. Just finished bagging our dried beans, 21 pounds of mixed variety. Love the mix in everything we use beans in. We have lots of tomato paste and sauce made and put away as well as other veggies. My building for the smithy is almost finished, I can't figure out how to post a pic though. Soldier on brother.
Thanks Red! People don't realize how precious dry beans are if they don't pick and shell them. Man, that's a lot of time. It's good if you can sit and talk while shelling, though.
It looks like people will get home-canned food from us for Christmas this year, not store-bought things.
A Blacksmith shop, "smithy" is a mystical creative space that modern people don't know anything about. That heavy machinery from the 1920s still works fine if it has been kept oiled. A wonder to behold.
"Moloch" was the biblical "god" which people sacrificed their first-born child to. Some say that Moloch-worshipers exist within the power elites of our world. I don't know, but it seems like some people crave that kind of power, and are driven to it by a kind of hunger.
I did not mean to excuse anything based upon the inexcusable power-practices of the distant past, where certain rulers exercised absolute control over people, forcing them to sacrifice their own children to the state-idol, Moloch.
I meant to question what drives in what people would lead them to this horrific reign of terror. It apparently spread wide and persisted over centuries, so there must be some archetypal power over humans, exerted by other humans. We do not look at humans this way, because it is so horrific to most of us.
It seems to be the same sort of thing as Mayan sacrifice of humans to the Sun God when crops would not feed the people, though worse, perhaps, since the Mayan sacrifices were mainly war prisoners, not the children of the faithful.
Again, this is hard for me to think and write about, but I do think that people with these extreme drives to power over others still exist, and they do not have particular limits, unless society limits them somehow.
I've thought about this and have settled into the idea those who start up a hierarchy, kind of like a start up business, to siphon off the surplus from humans, until the system, agriculturally based (people have to eat), begins to fail and can no longer feed the growing population. So they make up this mysterious need to sacrifice to reduce the population. Over and over and over again. But I have no links to share in this theory of mine that those at the top know full well what they do and why. Well, maybe tracking Israel through the OT. Hi. Not that I am pro-vaccine or anti. I got vaccinated just to avoid the stiffing dumb-ass bureaucracy (traveling between two continents and nations). However, that being a personal choice, I do respect the decision not to vaccinate, yourself, your kin and all. Yet this issue makes the following thing rather clear (obvious)
1. That states (whichever nation) are violent institutions. And violence exists in bureaucracy, mainstream science, propaganda and means of coercion and suspension (a non vaccinated person)
2. That human rights are but imaginary. More like Disney Movies, which entail entail preposterous unreal things.
3. That children, regardless of their economic and social background are the worst impacted, when a given global crisis erupts.
4. Our own 'endless growth' civilisation gave us the covid virus. Multiple negative feedback loops peaked together, and the Chinese city was apt (horrendous lifestyles) for such an outbreak. The rest is history.
Hang in there, Man, and don't get "boosted". The damage to the immune system is both cumulative, and a fresh gamble for near-term death with each injection.
Take 5000 units/day of vitamin-D to at least support normal immune system function.
What India did with COVID treatment (Ivermectin, vitamin-D, doxycycline, zinc) in Uttar Pradesh turned the global tide towards the effectiveness of early antiviral treatment. Go India!
Yes, state-monopoly on violence is the basis of "civilization".
The next problem is when it loses the monopoly on violence, which I see happening in the west.

Then I decided to NOT get any more booster crap. Simply because there's so much debate and disagreement in science. Also I got the certificate QR code (bureaucracy curbed). But lets see if I live or die, or perhaps nothing happens, because of being vaccinated.
I have been to China once, and have no desire to visit back. Simply put it's an ugly dying empire and so polluted that it's just not worth for anything.
India and China are fundamentally at odds with their approaches to the world.
Both are hard for Europeans/Americans to understand.
China's top-down hierarchy can move quickly and decisively (sometimes, for good or bad), but India's broadly distributed hologram-of-cooperation in society is far more robust to attacks and damage, in my view.
I'm not saying that either is "fair" by western standards, but neither is the west.
