Dr. John, A.I. I think can simulate. However not being biological even with brain tissue involved there is a gap twixt machine and human. Importantly I think work done to date demonstrates what is a difference. The machine lacks the morphogenic field. The machine is truly an our modern idol. “The threat to the religious attitude lies not in science but in the predominant practices of daily life.” writes Erich Fromm in his famous work, “Psychoanalysis and Religion.” He explains that, “man has ceased to seek in himself the supreme purpose of living and has made himself an instrument serving the economic machine his own hands have built. He is concerned with efficiency and success rather than with his happiness and the growth of his soul.” https://www.resonancescience.org/blog/The-Morphogenic-Field-is-Real-and-These-Scientists-Show-How-to-Use-It-to-Understand-Nature

I see your point, and it is a point commonly made, but I am not placing bets. I don't know the "Mind of God" on this point. God might be full of surprises, "workin' in mysterious ways" and such as that...

Right but embryos make us not Androids. How? Step by step unfolds. And we do not see this in chemistry but beyond chemistry, and not yet in our A.I. The machine is inorganic. I am thinking spirit expresses organically,.

I'm inclined as you are, but I'm not "certain". Whatever is created, and then self-hones, will be something, and it will have lots of capabilities, and it will be set to lots of tasks, and may broadly interpret some tasks and do stuff in the world that we think is original and autonomous.

I see the basic flaw of AI is that it is a product of young, uneducated minds who are primarily fascinated by technology. I see the challenges of humanity to be the failures and possibilities of being human, challenges that are best met with education and a knowledge of history.

I look forward to the continual degradation and break down of the current western global financial-economic system. It’s time to move on. It’s a system that has proven to be anti-human. As to off-ramps for imperial courts, “we” tried to do this with the League of Nations, and that did not last very long. The United Nations also seems to have met its limitations. Peer pressure has failed to impose good behavior on nation states. So, if we cannot force gentility on nation-states, how might it be possible to persuade individuals?

I'm still working on "myself". I'll get back to you when I understand this all better.

I lack the education needed to answer the question. It is likely too simplistic to conclude that if demands fail to change behavior, then setting a good example may. Is there a place for candor and honesty? For instance, is opposing the behavior of Israel in Gaza more likely to be effective if the US acts like an insightful parent?

There is coercive diplomacy, of course, which is ongoing. What is "the US"? I mean, what are the mechanisms of powerful people which determine the actions of "the US"? They are not the Constitution in most cases, right? The actual relationships of political power and coercion are mostly hidden from us, because they work better that way for the owners.

I am not deflecting the question, but attempting to reframe it from something broadly un-knowable and un-doable to something I can actually approach and "work on in my spare time".

Gandhi advised people to "become the change that you would see in the world".

That is perhaps more powerful than it appears, a spiritual practice.

When I attempt to become the change I would see in the world, I do so from an alignment with the "will" of "Divine-Consciousness", aligning myself with that, asking guidance, accepting guidance, and "becoming that change".

There is a paradox in this, which is that my small-human attempts to change the world through external attempts at coercive politics and war, are likely to be ineffectual or counterproductive, whereas if I work inwardly to see and understand and work to advance the Compassionate Divine Plan, then I will avoid causing harm, and may be able to contribute beneficially.

I am blogging, as you see, and meditating, which is not so visible.

Wishing you a fruitful 2024.

John - humans are not machines, they are not wired to be slaves to orders. They are primed to learn when young, to reproduce when mature and to nurture, protect, encourage and challenge the next generation to do likewise.

If Elon Musk et al seriously think that the sole function of humans is to be programmed to be slaves, then they need to have their own children programmed in exactly that way.

We'll soon see what old Elon, Billy Boy, Jeff Bezos et al will say about forcible enslavement of their offspring.

The language wouldn't be very pretty, I wouldn't think.

What the rich are doing is finding ways to remove working opportunities from humans, because they are totally obsessed with their eugenics.

I don't disagree with what you are saying, but it is not the point I sought to make, either.

I will try some more today.

There is mystery here.
