The last article about the Pyramids sounds (incredibly)more plausible than the other one I’d heard that the reflective outer layer was completely stolen in later years, coming up close to these behemoths and seeing the size of the stones at ground level and then trying to figure out how you’d get the top ones down,,,after you’ve tried to figure out how it was all built in the first place! Anyway I did find out that the Giza plateau was the best place to land the completed blocks after sailing them across the flooded Nile. I’ve actually been to a cafe at the top of the quarry cliff on the eastern side years ago.
Whatever, the article also helps convince me that oil is constantly being created underground as the Russian geologists claim. Not because there was ancient forests 25,000 feet under ground now or that enough plankton died and was buried under similar seabed depth,,,please!
This is the prior article about the ocean water level eroding the pyramids to the same spot, which theft would not have done. The analysis pointing to flooding about 10,000 years ago is comprehensive. https://theethicalskeptic.com/2023/12/18/hidden-in-plain-sight/
Yes, though "fossil-fuel" is still a commonly understood term for carbon under the ground, so I still use it for convenience. It is becoming less convenient over time, due to this point being made more frequently. I suspect that the rate of coalescence and rising of underground carbon is very slow, compared to a human life, or a human civilization.
"Russia's Rosgeo uncovered oil and gas reserves in British Antarctic territory, estimated at around 511 billion barrels.
The discovery poses environmental risks and challenges the 1959 Antarctic Treaty, which prohibits oil developments in the region.
Geopolitical tensions rise as Russia's activities in Antarctica are viewed as a move towards resource extraction rather than scientific research, sparking concerns among international observers."
In the British territory! The Russians are in British territory? No the brits have hired a company to look for something worth going after to pay for their own largess. Who needs FF right now? Russia or the UK? So who is about to attack the '59 treaty? So far the Russians have followed all their legal agreements. Even after the sanctions on their exports, they kept to the contracts to sell gas to Europe. Those contracts are ending, will they sign more? In time we shall see.

"But Klaus Dodds, a professor of geopolitics at Royal Holloway University, argued the Antarctic policy environment was “arguably at its most challenging since the late 1980s and early 1990s.”
Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has created “widespread concern that a worsening relationship with the country will spark strategic competition and make it even more explicit in Antarctica.”
He believes Russian activity in the region equated to hunting for oil and gas as opposed to scientific research."
Again it's a company working for someone? Who? They make shit up to cover their own asses. Lies upon lies in a never ending cycle, not realizing that they have lost all credibility to any who are paying even a grain of thought to what is spewing forth from the ones at the top. Why wasn't BP doing this exploration? Can't blame others if using their own to break the treaty. If getting the oil out of there is even feasible are they going to give the contracts to a Russian company? I don't effing think so. "He believes" so no proof what so ever.
The challenge is in how to put the blame on someone else, and who better to bestow this honour on than the big bad bear?
Thanks Red. My thoughts were that there would be a friendly agreement to get the oil out of there ASAP, or at least to start getting it out of there. The UK badly needs oil revenue. Argentina might be enticed in, too, might be enticed into joining BRICS after all.
There is finally something to sweeten the pot.
Environmental concerns? Surely the PR departments can handle that...
Those with the money around the world ought to pay off scAmerican debt in their own selfish interest and leave us dammm poor folks the eff alone

Oil constantly being created is the Greek education position....ie oil is NOT a "fossil fuel".

Onion envy here.
More than half are still in the ground, but when one falls over, it gets pulled and cleaned up.
