Sorry for California doctors AND their patients. :-( I watched the place rot from within due to what I believe is rigged elections, year after year. These things have consequences... Glad to have escaped. Good luck, California.
It was still pretty nice in the later 80's. People were funky, but cool. People were often very different from each other but completely tolerant. Over time, it all changed, got to be Very Intolerant. If you weren't virtue signalling you were "one of them", you were a target in the workplace and in private. By then, after 2010, the elections were all solid "D" no matter what candidates ran, and at every level of government. The county of Santa Clara still has their contract with Dominion viewable online here, good through 2027: https://sccvote.sccgov.org/sites/g/files/exjcpb1106/files/CW2232168%20Dominion%20Final.pdf
So far as I'm concerned, that's naked admission of their fraud. YMMV. Glad to be gone from there and I wish whomever stays a lot of luck.
I visited my Grandparent's house in San Diego, near Balboa Park, home of many childhood memories, until my Dad died in March 2018 and it was sold. My visits were only occasional, but every tie there was more erosion of what had been nice.
There is still niceness, though. I just won't visit again.
Looks good John you must be pleased. Left this same comment over at Blogger! Didn't realize I was there until after commenting and seeing no other comments! Not sure why This infernal machine sent me there?
Hopefully. . . but only if the multitudes who have seen themselves as virtuously compliant can be offered another perspective that will enable them to view themselves as responsible and heroic rather than foolish. Suggested name of campaign: "Have a Heart: Face the Facts" or "Face the Facts: It'll Make All of Our Hearts Stronger"

Southern California was so very nice between 1958 and 1964, when I lived there.

Shucks!. . .
Mama mia: I know how much work went into that! Good-good-good for you!
Always enjoy your posts.
Keep up the clear thinking and descriptions of possible linkages.
peace and kindness,
Nancy
Thank you for the kind words.
This is a rare moment in history to get the truth out, a moment when lies may be successfully countered, perhaps.
Sounds true, compassionate, and probably appealing to the formerly compliant!
All the best,
ND

Virtuously Compliant >> Wrongly Betrayed & Rebuilding Lives ?
I hope that works.
