Engaged in Life, The unifying theme, if any, to the news links today is that we are in a world undergoing rapid change, after three centuries of industrialization driven by fossil fuels, mining, and advances in mechanical, then electrical and electronic technology. Our human numbers are multiplied by ten in that time, while the number of wild animals is much less than a tenth of what it was. The climate of earth is different, and changing, and there is a lot of pollution of many kinds, including in our processed foods.
And I don't particularly care for being called a "mammal." I don't even have a mammary gland, although these days, men are even supposed to be able to give birth! :)
I am not a "homo," either, and "sapiens" might be an overstatement, especially after considering people's behavior during the plandemic.
Maybe we can "grow-into" our role as stewards of life on this planet.
The universe is incomprehensibly vast. I don't think we have outgrown much, but we are outgrowing the inheritance of fossil fuels and minerals, and we are aware of that, so we can make changes. We are led by short-view parasites at the moment. We might make our own decisions instead for awhile.
We could... we can... what stands in our way are those parasites.

"Kami" usually has one "I" in Romaji, and means hair, paper or god. Neko means cat.
Do you intend your name to be kami-no-neko, "cat hair"?
