In some article someone admitted it could have been a boat dragging an anchor that caused the break. If the break was intentional, it was done in an extremely bad weather. If I was a captain of a ship at sea on that day, dragging anchor to give some steadiness in the storm, I would probably hope it was Boris Badenov who did it...No news here have mentioned the stormy weather on Saturday.
