There comes a day sooner than we like when people will be paying to pick those blue berries to put food on the table. We fear that day but I can see the ways that it will be better. Dennis G Boston

It strikes me as a profound shame that wholesome local food in Scotland is undersold by jet airplane loads from the other side of the planet.

I don't believe that this type of commerce will last much longer. My fear is is that it may last just long enough to destroy a lot of our local food production capacity. Bringing it back from an overgrown wilderness or worse out from under the concrete and asphalt will take more than one growing season.
