Celebrating Thanksgiving,

I feel like I always write the same essay about the world being at the inflection-point where oil-driven industrial economy has stalled and is awaiting the inevitable decline, while the financial system, predicated upon exponential growth, is cracking everywhere, yet sustained by the widespread faithful belief that rich people everywhere are getting richer as their stock valuations rise year after year.

The actually powerful people who are financially served by BlackRock, for example, know the actual score of this musical chairs game, and have every intention of holding chairs when the music stops, forcing all others to exit the ownership-game empty handed, "accepting all of the losses". This includes a lot of upper and mid-level managers, whose service maintains the workings of the real economy, and it includes all of the military and police "enforcers" of the system of ownership-of-real-wealth, so how will "ownership" be maintained by these elites who hold some form of "titles"? Others also have valid claims upon real wealth, and this has to be sorted out politically or the goose that lays the golden-eggs, modern-industrial-economy, will promptly die.

The "Owners" need a scary enough emergency to maintain their hierarchical power, and to maintain the obedience of the management and enforcement classes. The International-Bankers and BlackRock asset-holders need something like World War-3, but that will also destroy much of their real-wealth, as it permanently destroys much of modern industrial economy. It's paradoxical, but they cannot let go. They just cannot let go of "power". It is beyond them.

This actual desperation makes their insane threats of starting Armageddon more realistic to those who are able to be more rational, due to holding better options, and being ascendent rather than declining in industrial and military power.

Though politicians usually have the job of delivering the people "willingly" to the plans of the owners, they sometimes have other work to do, re-negotiating the social contract so that society does not collapse and fail to feed everybody. China went through that under Mao, rising out of it under Deng Xiao Peng. Russia reached bottom under globo-cap hostage, Boris Yeltsin, who chose a unique successor, who appeared to be an ordinary bureaucrat, but had organizational super-powers and a historic vision to restore the land his parents both almost died for.

We are at a point of agonal uncertainty as ordinary humans, feeling the tension, but misunderstanding it in terms of mundane politics, not comprehending the underlying crisis of real-economy. Even elites, even very old trillionaire-families tend strongly to denial when reality threatens them existentially. Who, in their employ, will serve the owners the bad news harshly enough to induce them to relinquish assets, in order to maintain systemic function, when they presume that others in their position will not relinquish assets, and so will surpass them in the game, whether it crashes or not?

This class of decision-makers has been shielded from the fatal results of their actions by deep bunkers and invisibility of movement in the world, but both are now called into question, and they may be targeted effectively by precision accuracy Oreshnik missiles which can take out any bunker in London or even New York in under 20 minutes, and without prior warning as to the actual target.

Perhaps an example might be made in the "Square Mile" of London, for instance, to help make this point more clearly pertinent to them in a personal way.

We really need to take on this big, huge, messy challenge of declining energy and mineral resources constructively in our world, rather than blowing up things we can't rebuild going forward, things we still, currently need to survive.
