Then the two presidents agreed it was back to their strategic business. “During the exchange of views on the current issues of Russia-Iran relations, both leaders expressed their mutual intention to promote steady bilateral cooperation across different areas, including the implementation of mutually beneficial infrastructure projects.” ... ..According to Raisi’s report, “ ‘What the Islamic Republic of Iran did in response to what happened criminally and in the light of the inaction of the [UN] Security Council, was the best way to punish the aggressor and represented the tactfulness and rationality of Iran’s politicians,’ Putin said. "Within Seconds" strikes me as air-defense response, whatever might follow that. There are reports that Russia and China are helping Iran with targeting and early warnings. Iran vows to react ‘within seconds’ to each new mistake made by Israel Ali Bagheri Kani, the deputy foreign minister for political affairs, stated as much.
He stated, “They should anticipate a harsher, quicker, and more immediate response in the event that they repeat the same mistake.”

These statements are not being translated for ultimate clarity of meaning. Perhaps that is intentional. The larger, newer hypersonic ballistic missiles in Iran's arsenal have never been used in war, and could be used as part of a much larger and more destructive response against Israel, if Israel strikes Iranian territory again, which the Iranian embassy in Damascus was. Iranian missile specifics are looked at here. On Monday, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian warned that if Israel continues to escalate tensions with Tehran, it will face a swift and intensified response. UN Rights Office Says Israel Still Imposing ‘Unlawful’ Restrictions on Gaza Aid The UN’s Human Rights Office said on Tuesday that Israel is still imposing “unlawful” restrictions on aid entering Gaza despite US and Israeli claims that there’s been an increase in deliveries, Reuters reported on Tuesday.
After Israel slaughtered seven workers for the World Central Kitchen on April 1, Benjamin Netanyahu’s government made a commitment to allow more aid into the Strip, but the UN says aid levels are still way below the bare minimum of what’s needed.
“Israel continues to impose unlawful restrictions on the entry and distribution of humanitarian assistance and to carry out widespread destruction of civilian infrastructure,” said Ravina Shamdasani, spokeswoman for the UN Human Rights Office.

John Helmer looks at Israeli vulnerability to Iranian attacks upon its electrical system, the type of war Russia is now prosecuting in Ukraine. If Israel escalates by attacking Iran and striking at the country’s infrastructure, then Iran’s counter will be to take a page out of Russia’s book and commence the one line of attack which Israel, the US and their allies cannot withstand any better than Ukraine– that’s Electric War. For the seven months which have elapsed since Hamas began its operation against Israel on October 7, and Israel commenced its genocide against the Palestinians, there has been no targeting by Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, or the Syrian and Iraqi groups of Israel’s highly vulnerable maritime gas platforms, gas pipelines, coal and oil-fired electricity generating plants, the coal and oil storages nearby, solar and wind power units, or the electricity grids keeping the country alight.
The Arab inhibitions and calculations are understandable. Iran’s will disappear if Israel triggers a new round of attacks.
If and when that happens, the Palestinian failure in the US and in Europe to counterattack and stop Israel financing its war through the $60 billion genocide bond issue won’t matter. “According to NEMA, in a full-scale war with Hezbollah, about 5,000 rockets, precision missiles, and suicide drones will be launched at Israel every day, targeting critical electricity infrastructure as well. The damage to this infrastructure would lead to two nationwide power outages lasting from 24 to 48 hours, for at least 60% of the country, in addition to 11 regional power outages and numerous local power outages. There would also be power outages lasting weeks and even months in some parts of the country, mainly in the north.”... ..This paper from an Israeli military think tank explains the vulnerability of these power generating plants and the transmission systems they supply. “The security of the electrical system during emergencies and a reduction in the risk of an excessive and protracted blackout are critical issues that demand national attention and response,” the Israelis claimed in June 2017. “We maintain that the current systemic responses to threats against the electrical system are inadequate in light of the unique geostrategic characteristics of the State of Israel.”...
..“To protect the functional continuity of the state and the capability of the IDF to maintain an ongoing offensive effort until victory has been achieved implies the protection of power stations and IAF bases before the protection of the large cities. It is possible that in the future we will be able to protect both, but currently, with the number of batteries and interceptor missiles at our disposal, we have to designate an order of priorities for the deployment of our assets. We have to make a difficult, painful, and clear-cut decision.”

In other words, all important leaders in Ukraine need to be paid off. Moreover, safe places for their escape when the well-known (to everyone) collapse eventually comes need to be provided for everyone abroad. These are the billions that keep the Ukrainian leadership slaughtering their own male population until the very end as long as it is physically possible. And it is still physically possible... We are talking about outright murder of a people... ..What has been going on since then is not a military operation. It is plugging holes in the frontlines with human meat to physically block the Russians from advancing deeper. People are being sent by truckloads into the trenches where essentially the fighting is over, except for a few hotspots where the Russians are advancing. What is left is sending these people into trenches where they are being slaughtered by all kinds of highly efficient weapons without ever seeing a single Russian soldier before their death... ..The fact is that Ukraine will fall due to a total collapse from Donetsk up to Lvov. The whole artificial structure will be gone. I wanted to firmly reiterate that this prediction is, as always, more than up to date, and it is already being discussed in the Western media.
I’m not saying that Ukraine as a whole will become part of Russia. I’m still convinced that the Western part of Ukraine will be divided between the three neighbors, with Russia’s consent... ..We learned that the Americans are no longer committed to the Ukrainian battlefield, at least not beyond the involvement of their money, special services, and commanders. Still, there is manpower missing.
Moreover, the Americans can’t intervene anywhere in the world any longer. The big European countries are discussing this openly, and so is the EU. It would free the American capacities for American rearmament to be able to focus on Asia, and at the same time, it would keep Russia in war longer... I think Russia will prevent all of this from happening. It would be diametrically against her interests... ..What worries me the most, since I’m affected, is that I think that war is very much possible within Europe within the next few years. And I’m not talking about Europe versus Russia. No, I’m talking about the major European powers against one another. Ukraine will fall soon, and with it, the Western world order. Eastern European countries will get the opportunity to connect to the BRICS market and financial system (and default on the Dollar system, if needed). They will have a choice, as the free market economy foresees it. And they will choose. This will cause major friction between the European powers and the EU institution.
France, Britain, and Poland are major lynchpins in this whole struggle. I pray for peace, but there may be major escalations between the European countries. These escalations can be:
Military nature (25% probability)
Diplomatic and Economic nature (75%)
As you can see, I’m still optimistic that there won’t be a kinetic war in Europe, but it is far from being excluded.

Scott Ritter maintains that the Iranian hypersonic missiles used last Saturday were all unstoppable, all hit their targets, and that this implies that the best US Radar systems, which were in place and employed, cannot facilitate interception of Iranian missiles, nor by implication, similar Russian and Chinese hypersonic missiles. (North Korea?) "Checkmate" says Ritter, but I think it is more like an effective blocking strategy. US/NATO can still move backwards. The global strategic implications of this stunning Iranian accomplishment are game-changing—the US has long struggled conceptually with the notion of what is referred to as “A2/AD” (anti-access/area denial) threats posed by hostile ballistic missiles. However, the US had sought to mitigate against this AA/A2 threat by overlaying theater ballistic missile defense architecture like that that had been employed in Israel. The failure of the combined US-Israeli defense systems in the face of a concerted Iranian missile attack exposed the short-comings of the US ballistic missile defense capabilities world-wide.
In short, this means that the US and NATO forces in Europe are vulnerable to attack from advanced Russian missile technologies which match or exceed those used by Iran to attack Israel. It also means that China would most likely be able to strike and sink US navy ships in the Pacific Ocean in the event of a conflict over Taiwan. And that North Korea could do the same to US ships and forces ashore in the vicinity of Japan and South Korea.
Until which time the US can develop, produce and deploy missile defense systems capable of defeating the new missile technology being deployed by nations like Iran, Russia, China, and North Korea, US military power projection capabilities are in a state of checkmate by America’s potential adversaries.

Through a seemingly innocuous change to the definition of “electronic communications surveillance provider,” an amendment offered by House intel committee (HPSCI) leaders and passed by the House vastly expands the universe of entities that can be compelled to assist the NSA.
If the bill becomes law, any company or individual that provides ANY service whatsoever may be forced to assist in NSA surveillance, as long as they have access to equipment on which communications are transmitted or stored—such as routers, servers, cell towers, etc. That sweeps in an enormous range of U.S. businesses that provide wifi to their customers and therefore have access to equipment on which communications transit. Barber shops, laundromats, fitness centers, hardware stores, dentist’s offices… the list goes on and on.

Mexico filed a 200-page response to the U.S. trade violation complaint, which many observers say fulfilled the onus of its argument.
