' I walked this far, one mile, to first grade. He was fine until a "Karen" drove up: Mom Jailed for Letting 10-Year-Old Walk Alone to Town

"I was not panicking as I know the roads and know he is mature enough to walk there without incident," says Brittany Patterson. https://reason.com/2024/11/11/mom-jailed-for-letting-10-year-old-walk-alone-to-town/'

I would be interested to know at what age the jailors think that a human being CAN walk alone to town.

It is after all a fact that, having zero experience of doing it is a state which could last a lifetime, could end at the age of 8.

Millions of UK parents born between 1920 and 1950 would have had to be jailed en masse for this ubiquitous practice at the time I grew up. There is copious evidence that this did not lead to mass death, as I and millions of children like me survived to adulthood.

Strange country where you put moms in jail for teaching their children independence in peaceful communities, whereas if you campaign for the right to human life on behalf of Palestinians in a war zone (promotion of human safety), you also get jailed.

A certain level of cognitive dissonance within US society, it seems.....

I’m glad I’ve been vindicated about Statins over 10 years after I nagged my mother to stop taking them (she’d actually commented on similar ailments anyway.)

The NHS in Britain pick on over 60s as easy targets for medications like this,,,,they’re still peddling Covid shots and flu vaccines,,,based on reduced or zero payments for payments and I suppose the older you get the less likely you are to resist. I think the nursing staff are bullied into this and doctors and certainly buyers are given bonuses.
