​  “What happened to us is beyond imagination,” said a displaced person in Gaza.
“It was like anybody who moved outside the home was shot and left outside for the cats,” the woman who moved from the north of the Gaza Strip continued.

“A youth was sent by our neighbors to see if we were alright and it happened all so fast. He was talking to me just as I opened the door and he was shot dead right there, in front of me,” she added.
​  “He was left outside the house we were living for nine days,” she told Al Jazeera TV channel.
​  But this was only the beginning of a chain of events that eventually landed her in the Abu Yousef Al Najar Hospital in Rafah in the south of Gaza where 1.4 million internally displaced refugees are now located thanks to the Israeli army.
​  “The Israeli army started bulldozing right on top of our heads but miraculously, me and mother, were able to leave the house alive. At the time, the bodies of other martyrs were scattered outside,” she continued.

​  My first experience with Google-censorship was in the spring of 2016, when I was still sending my "blog" out as a bcc email compilation of news snippets and links, much as it still is. Google started blocking it as I was running stories about the Sanders-voter disenfranchisement by the DNC. 

  Nothing was good enough for Google, so I started www.johndayblog.com as a work-around. 

  3 days after Trump was elected, the bcc email blocking stopped, so I continued both formats. The "problem" arose in late summer of 2018, and again in the summer of 2020, clearly related to the US election cycle, and vanishing days after the votes each time.

  On 2/22/22, just before the Russian invasion of Ukraine, I was reporting the Russian recognition of the Donetsk and Luhansk People's Republics. I sent out "Two New Countries", which got my blog taken down and our email taken down quite suddenly. Google censorship was on a hair trigger that day. 

  Jenny and I eventually got our email back, and the Google blog reinstated, and Google even put that post back up, but has removed some others since then. 

  I no longer send the bcc news emails, but I have the blog mirrored in Substack as drjohnsblog.substack.com , which reaches a lot more people.

The Russian election concluded Sunday without further incident. V.V. Putin, running against three other candidates from fractional parties, won with 87 percent of the vote. The case is about birthing the new concept — new to America, anyway — known as “misinformation” — that is, truth about what our government is doing that cannot be allowed to enter the public arena, making it very difficult for ordinary citizens to question authority. The government will apparently argue that they were not coercing, they were just trying to persuade the social media execs to do this or that.
