I can’t figure out the reason anybody wrote the first article, it’s so obvious. Maybe I’m missing something,,
Anyway, the euros or Germans really had been buying cheap gas from Russia since the seventies and oil as well. It really helped enrich Germany then Germany did the unthinkable, they passively allowed NATO to disable three of its 4 gas pipes and are in the process of stopping imports of Russian oil to import mainly US energy. I understand America has to drill deeper in the gulf for oil and even the Permian is becoming more difficult by the day to extract gas. Everywhere in the west we’re led by incredibly reckless politicians I can’t see where it ends apart from a bad future for all of us, even for our ‘elites’ when they push Russia too far or they just leave us to go completely bust.
Germany's industrial strength was entirely correlated with access to Russian gas. Their economic stagnation is entirely correlated with paying 400% more for US LNG.
It still amazes me how so few in Britain I speak to recognise this, all the euros I’ve talked to understand,,clearly. It can’t be that ‘British brainwashings better’, or maybe it is,,anyway it’s no wonder our various govts in Britain get away with all there bs. (Did you hear Yvette Cooper immediately sent Kiev the money to replace what Mindich took to Israel for example? )
I did not hear that detail. "The Square Mile" is very powerful in the UK, and it is fundamentally insolvent, I read, so in need of a big enough crisis to retain managerial status. Anything to keep the game in play a little longer to get some kind of "upper hand" in WW-3.
It is desperate high-stakes gambling with our lives, though even elite families and their retainers see that they are at existential risk, too.
WE can only assume that the threats made by the USA to many EU states, notably Germany, must have been sufficient to make them lose their economic sanity.
There's a lot of very, very short-sighted- and destructive politics going on in Europe right now. The Poles, egged on by their US masters, are blocking rail-based freight cargoes from China and Russia, just as the gas pipeline was blocked prior to the construction of Nordstream II.
The Baltic States are trying to put Kaliningrad under siege, again through preventing rail transportation between Belarus and Kaliningrad.
The USA are going to lose a whole bunch of friends very, very rapidly, even if they maintain a few frightened vassals for a couple of decades.
The US has shown it is now the enemy of many parts of Europe, which completely negates the future role of NATO.
Living in a carbon-negative country where reforestation was considered important is a boon.

The countries that are currently carbon negative include Bhutan, Suriname, and Panama. These nations absorb more carbon dioxide through their forests than they emit, making them leaders in environmental sustainability.

Unfortunately, the nearby war setup to confiscate Venezuela's oil in the war for hegemony isn't helpful for a greener planet. Apparently Trump still hasn't realized what most expat Latinos, once angry enough, could do - hint: the US doesn't make high power transformers anymore but would have to order them from China. Trump's lame drug excuse reminds how, when Costa Rica became "too democratic and green, too high on the global happiness scale", it was "rewarded" by a US occupation force "to fight drug trafficking".
suggests there are influences compensating the temperature decline caused by lower gulf stream speed. Those influences might increase to "uncomfy", with the result of increasing CO2 level above 500 ppm (where damage to human cognition can produce calamities).
Many British scientists have been concerned about the slowing Gulf Stream for decades, because it is 100% certain that if it ever stops, Europe and much of the world will freeze over, as they have many times in the past.....
Japan is well ahead of the curve, with deforestation having accelerated all over the world, including the absolutely vital Amazon cloud forest ...Forests are essential to moderate the world climate...But the Japanese, unlike many races, have always had a strong love for nature.....When the great collapse happens in the 22d century, Japan will remain intact...
Its business as usual...and no real health research being done, if it won't produce big bucks for Big Pharma and the Medical Industry! In regard to this hormone business...if women simply knew how to eat right there would be no problem with menopause or other health issues. Eating right would also curtain the Food Industry's profits, too...and our government loves the revenue it receives...so don't provide answers, which would curtail profits. I speak from experience, I never had one hot flash or any other symptom at menopause. One month a period, the next month it was gone at 56. Why? I don't eat processed foods! I primarily eat fruit and vegetables. I don't drink, smoke and I do an hour of fast walking daily. It costs no money...and I have no desire for Medicare, which is simply the largest drug dealership in the world. I am not 'Elderly and Fragile' going on 92, because I don't depend on 'Experts' telling me how to think I have a free newsletter to do my share in MAHA. barbaracharis.substack. dom

Gail Tverberg was "Gail the Actuary" on The Oil Drum blog. She is reserved and calm, but very clear and serious about what she states.
This is excerpts from a presentation she gave.

Dying slowly of expensive fuel instead of dying suddenly from no fuel.

Dear Doctor, little billy gates would probably want this short video
banned, as 'dis-information', as the idea it contains is a major threat
to his fake-meat project from which he hopes to make a killing...

Thanks Barbara. "Your mileage may vary", as is said.
