Dr Day,

I really enjoy your compendium of news articles. I learn a lot. One suggestion: Instead of putting the URL link at the end of each article, put it at the beginning. It might make navigating the articles a little easier. Thanks, Ed

It really fits more easily at the end, with the headline up top, and sometimes my comment preceding that. The link as a reference, and also as a convenience matters.

I transpose each blog post completely with thorough reformatting line by line to fit it into Substack, already.

Substack then further reformats it automatically.

So Larry Ellison is actively aiding and abetting organised sex trafficking, child sexual abuse and is wilfully seeking to pervert the course of justice by preventing widespread knowledge of the crimes of Jeffrey Epstein.

He is too rich to challenge through courtrooms where justice can be bought.

I invite readers to consider what actions to punish him could never be overturned via his wealth.....because those are the punishments he needs and deserves.

Voodoo curse?

Man, I'd advise against it, because it destroys the soul of the person casting the curse to power it...

Any semblance of international law is gone, thanks to Israel and its serf the United States...

And now, it appears that Trump is caving to the highly organized communist rebellion in Minnesota.....

I mourn for the world my grandchildren will live in....

John Day MD's avatar

The issue in Minnesota is the destruction of constitutional rights of citizens, shooting flies with a shotgun. Overshoot right leads to right-totalitarianism, like overshoot left leads to left-totalitarianism.

The end does not justify the means.

It's difficult but very real.

The most infamous example of punching one domestic group and labeling them as the source of all evils was the pre-WW2 persecution of Jews in Germany. It worked fairly well for reasons well beyond and before the mustached corporal was even born.

There are other lesser-known examples, such as the anti-Chinese riots in the US (since the Civil War) and Malaysia/Indonesia (after WW2). The Malaysia/Indonesia one was easier to understand, and in some aspects, justified, because the small Chinese minority dominated the business and power (by connections to the British/Dutch colonial governments). And the behavior of some Chinese plantation owners in the southeast areas, frankly, could have made European medieval feudal kings blush. Once you add the Maoist revolutionaries in Malaya, then there was no other possible outcome other than a united front against Chinese immigrants there.

The lesser justified cases were the anti-Chinese riots/movement inside US, especially during 1880s and 1900s, but some would add 1920s as well. For some reasons, it happened in waves of 20 years, I suspect they have something to do with economic, erh, no, better make that financial cycles. While some may not have noticed, a US government-led effort is now targeting Chinese immigrants, especially those who came to the US after 1990s. For now, it seems to be WELL JUSTIFIED, because the main effort was led by IRS (Many Chinese immigrants love to evade tax, especially for those who did not earn citizenship by themselves, but rather by kinship or Golden Passports). The secondary effort is led by ICE and CBP, focusing on those staying beyond visa authorization (not by accident, but by intention since before they even reach the US.) While these people are NOT Chinese government agents, but they COULD become Chinese agents after a simple phone call, sometimes to their relatives still in China (by making threats), and you can see real life version of how Agent Smith can commandeer somebody, anybody, in a snap of fingers. Note that I said the US government's effort to clamp down on Chinese immigrants on tax evasion and illegal immigration/visa status, at least SO FAR as I personally know a few such cases. The extent of illegal activities is not comparable to that of the Somali immigrants, but still clearly a crime.

The trend, however, is unlikely to stop at this stage. While there are some good justifications for the US government to take a proactive attitude against infiltration by the Chinese Communists, the coming financial catastrophe will be so big that even without the US government making the waves, there will be grass-root action to drive out Chinese immigrants, or at least be hostile to them when there are no good excuses. Note that almost all anti-Chinese riots before 1980s in the US were not related to the US government, AFAIK, and they were all coincident with US domestic economic cycles. This time, Communist China has been set up as the enemy successfully (thanks to the Chi-Com since Korean War and Vietnam War). Therefore, the total momentum would be stronger and the sources will be more widespread inside American society. In comparison, there are not that many Russian immigrants in the US. The Black cannot be used as the strawman, neither can the Hispanics. Japan and Germany are still occupied territories and immigrants from there don't cause problems (except those NAZI who came here right after WW2, thanks to OSS/CIA). Therefore, the designated villain this time has been chosen.

But even so, please note that the most important holes to allow Chinese Communist agents and fentanyl to infiltrate into the US are more or less all related to the deep-state. Without them, how can the top leaders of the Chinese Communists hide all the billions and billions of USD in the US, Canada, Australia, and EU? Why New Zealand is out of five-eyes de facto? Because most of the New Zealand political "elites" had been bought out by Chinese money. For the US to share intelligence with other five-eye members are effectively leaking good intelligence.

Sorry for the long murmuring. The subject of today's blog happened to touch something I started to worry since mid1980s. I came from Taiwan, earned my phd degree in the US, worked for 30 years, and started paying US income tax when I was still a graduate student (yes, they taxed TA and RA as well). I am a minority in every aspect: my parents were born in China and fled to Taiwan in 1949. I was born and raised in Taiwan. I studied Chinese Communism since I was a kid and I studied Taiwan Independence since my college days. The US color revolution tactics were applied in Taiwan in 1977. Everything you saw in the Maidan riot in Kiev in 2014 happened in Taiwan in 1977. By then, the CIA wanted a president who was willing to be a US puppet in Taiwan, not yet driving Taiwan to provoke war against China. However, the CIA has successfully controlled Taiwan as a puppet by now. The future of Taiwan is not determined by the people of Taiwan, not even by the person in Beijing or people in China, but rather by the CIA. While my wife thinks I am crazy to prepare for the next anti-Chinese riots in the US, I think the risk is real. I came to the US in 1984 and saw a great country in decline, but I still thought there was a good chance to turn around. Paul Volcker used hard medicines, and the American people endured. This time, there will be no Paul Volcker, and the American public today is no longer the kind of people in the US in the early 1980s.

Thank you, "Nakayama". I am grateful for your perspective and insights.

Say you're "Taiwanese" Maybe move to my neighborhood in Austin. Lots of Asian techies from China, Taiwan, India and Bangladesh, even Palestine, are here. Good Chinese restaurants with few round-eyes inside, too. H-Mart, etc.

;-)

Nakayama's avatar

I am right in your neighborhood, the north side.

John Day MD's avatar

DONE! You're cool here. I meant Asia Cafe.

If you see a bicyclist with a Palestine flag t-shirty shout out to me.

I'd like to have a conversation with you.

I understand that Stephen Miller is Trumps immigration adviser or something like that, I can’t help thinking that this Presidents financiers are causing as much trouble as possible for the American people generally. They’d happily finance both sides in a civil war, they’ve a track record in that don’t forget. The next President is really going to have get tough and face down this problem of people in govt and influence doing it on behalf of another state,,if you know what I mean of course,

John Day MD's avatar

Stephen Miller visibly exudes evil, scorn and loathing, doesn't he?

The Rightway's avatar

I imagine Miriam Adelson enjoyed putting him in place to keep an eye on Trump and his family, make sure they’re toeing the line.

Stephen Miller is getting a bit of comeuppance, and we can hope he gets what he deserves, or even 10% of that: https://www.nakedcapitalism.com/2026/01/stephen-miller-ice-barbie-kristi-noem-tim-walz-ilhan-omar-civil-war.html

Lost the banana crop again John! If nothing else you're an optimist. A lot of effort and love gone again. Our future is cold. A balmy -20c here this morning, not much chance of banana tress anytime soon in my neighbourhood. ;-)
